From Global Women’s Leadership (From Awareness to Accountability | Global 16 Days Campaign)
Inspired by the original vision and history of the Campaign, which focused on raising awareness about violence against women (VAW), and considering the continuing impunity for femicide, this year’s Unite theme is “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls“
The following are suggestions of things that you can do personally or as a club to participate in the 16 Days Campaign. Daily actions have been taken from the ZSN Toolkit with minor variations to align with the Canadian Day of Remembrance on December 6th. Feel free to make these days work with your club, and that daily activity is not necessary. Pick one, pick a couple to engage your club and community.

ZI Day 1 - Nov. 25th
We say NO to violence against women and girls because children who grow up in homes where women are abused also suffer. Even when not physically harmed, they experience trauma that affects their mental health and relationships later in life.
Today marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the start of the #16Days of Activism. We stand for a world where every woman and child can live free from fear and harm.

ZI Day 2 - Nov. 26th
We say NO to violence against women and girls because children who witness or experience violence are more likely to repeat that cycle as adults.
We are taking action through the #ZontaSaysNO campaign, raising awareness, supporting survivors and advocating for stronger laws to end this cycle once and for all.
#ZontaSaysNO #EndGenderBasedViolence
