The Orange Lady is always present – here and in many other places!
The Orange Lady says NO:
• to violence against women and girls.
• to violence in any form, whether physical, psychological or via the Internet.
The Orange Lady is there to:
• Observe.
• Be on the watch.
• Take care.
• SPEAK UP!
The Red Sand Project
Red Sand Project is a participatory artwork created by Molly Gochman that uses sidewalk interventions and earthwork installations to create opportunities for people to question, connect and take action against vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation.
Birthing Kits
Assembling birthing kits provides the essential items to promote a safe, clean delivery and to encourage good aftercare. The kits include a plastic sheet, latex gloves, soap, gauze, ties and a razor blade.
Zonta Says NO
Ongoing advocacy efforts are built around the Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign. Launched in 2012, the campaign has raised awareness of the global pandemic of
women’s rights violations and has united Zonta clubs worldwide in conducting impactful advocacy actions to fight violence against women and gender inequality.
16 Days of Activism
During the 16-day activism campaign, Nov. 25 – Dec. 10 clubs and members raise awareness to reaffirm their commitment to ending violence against women and Zonta service and advocacy programs. Each day features a different action.
International Women’s Day
Collective action and shared ownership for driving gender parity is what makes International Women’s Day impactful. Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.” So make International Women’s Day your day and do what you can to truly make a positive difference for women.
